This beastly hunk of steel is a revolver chambered in .410 2-1/2” shotshell and .45 Colt Ammunition is an interesting combo gun, giving you accurate .45 at range and a indomitable one hand blunderbuss at close range. this particular model has fixed rear sights and fiber optic front sites, its something I wouldn’t like to be on the wrong end of.

IZHMECH MP412 REX

The Russian double action revolver with a break open frame, currently becoming a household name from games such as Battlefeild 3 and Modern Warfare 3, was designated REX as it was intended to be a Revolver for EXport. It has an automatic ejector, so that when the frame is opened and the barrel is tipped fully downwards, the shells will eject from the cylinder. Such a shame that this beautiful revolver was never put into production.

A muzzle-loaded cap & ball .44-caliber revolver used during the american civil war, this colt has always been a favourite of mine, along with

Colt 1851 Navy Percussion’s, Remington 1858 New Army’s and the like, I think its because I remember the shape from older cowboy films. A single action revolver this would have needed to be cocked to fire, but being a .44, as long as you where accurate in your midday duel, you should only need one.

The British variant of the FN FAL, here shown with its sensational wood parts, with a set of plastic parts aswell. These rifles where made by RSAF Enfeild, and Lithgow in Australia. These rifle where adopted after a breif period of using the EM2 Rifle chambered in .280in, something the Brits toyed with after WW2 to replace there .303 Lee Enfeild no4’s.

Often fielded with a Trilux sight, these rifles because knows as being “Soldier proof” during there serivce. One of my favourite rifles fielded by the British!

Rhodie Battle rifle boogaloo

Here seen with a selection of FN FAL’s in Rhodesian Camouflage, you can also see a HK G3 in the bottom right, also an FN MAG, M240 or GPMG depending on where you’re from, third back on the left.

G3’s are inherently more accurate than there FAL competitors, but both are battle proven rifles, capable in the right hands.

The Steyr HS50

A single shot .50BMG rifle, apparently to be avalible in .460 Steyr (‘oooooo’) once the round is released. A friend of mine was able to fire one of these in the Falklands and said the muzzle break is fantastic, he likened the recoil to “nothing more that that of an L85A2”

The Remington XM2010 ESR (Enhanced Sniper Rifle)

Derived from the current M24 sniper weapon system in service with the US Army, PEO Soldier developed these to replace the M24’s, changing the caliber to .300 Win Mag to add around 50% extra range onto the 7.62 Nato chambering of the M24A1.

Sporting a 24 inch free float hammer forged barrel, 1 in 10 inch twist and more 1913 rails than you can shake a stick at, its a step up in the sniper game from the older, but battle tested, M24 system.

Here’s a rifle i’m intimately familiar with, the Parker Hale L81A2

When I was a Cadet on the shooting team, I spent many a weekend with this single shot (no magazine) bolt action target rifle at anywhere from 20 meters (zeroing) to 914.4 meters (1000 yards) at Bisley. We ran them with single point slings, attaching to the upper left arm and the other end plugged into the bottom of the handstop. A fun rifle, and accurate to boot!

So apart from making cars and electronics, Daewoo provides the Republic of Korea with firearms. This K11 is an interesting piece of kit, firing 5.56x45 mm from its lower barrel and 20x102mm (20mm) airburst shells from its overbarrel bolt action launcher.

I suppose theres no better way to say fuck you than slamming a 20mm shell into someone in a cqb.

The Godsal Rifle

This, I believe is the earliest known Bullpup rifle, designed by Major Philip Thomas Godsal for trial by the British Army in 1888. This particular image shows a Godsel produced in October 1902 by Webley & Scott chambered in .303.

This particular rifle was sold at auction in 2008, selling for $18,697.00

The Thorneycroft carbine was one of the earliest bullpup rifles, developed by an English gunsmith in 1901 as patent No. 14,622 of July 18, 1901. This bolt-action rifle featured a bullpup action in which the retracted bolt slid back through the stock nearly to the shooter’s shoulder, maximising the space available in the body of the firearm. The rifle was chambered in the contemporary .303 British service cartridge, and held five rounds in an internal magazine.

There where only ever a few produced (maybe 5 in total?) so this thing must be hella collectable. They went to trial and where rejected for the SMLE, not surprising considering there where 4 failures to eject, 1 failure to extract, 1 missfire as the bolt didn’t close properly and 2 jams. Still, one of the first bullpup design rifles, knocking around since 1901.

I love hearing the word "Assault Weapon" on the news.
